I am also thankful for all those in the freedom movement who are fighting for our freedoms. Obviously, those in the freedom movement who have pushed back against the narrative have all helped inform NZ First and others in the general population. Without this support, NZ First may not have achieved so much in such a short time.
For instance, without NZ First in government, we would not have achieved the following.
1. Rejection of the 2022 Adopted Amendments to the IHR.
Without NZ First, NZ would not have rejected these amendments, which shorten the time-frame for rejecting future amendments. See here. To my knowledge, only three other countries had the foresight to do this. We now have more time to push back against the 300+ amendments in the pipeline. NZ's rejection would have disappointed the WHO, the WEF and Bill Gates as they likely thought NZ was in their pocket. If it weren't for Winston Peters and NZ First, we most likely would be.
However, without the people’s support, regardless of party affiliations, NZ First may not have been able to achieve this rejection. Apparently, Winston Peters took into the coalition negotiations lawyer Kirsten Murfitt’s reject-the-amendments petition, which got 26,000 signatures in just under three weeks. See here and here.
Recently, we had an opportunity to give our views on the proposed 300+ IHR amendments. See here.
2. The Therapeutic Products Act (TPA)
Because of NZ First, the Therapeutic Products Act is being thrown out. NZ First email blast (1/3/24): “...the Therapeutic Products Act repeal is about to happen”
The TPA served Big Pharma's interests and NOT the people of NZ. See here.
But again, it took the combined efforts of all of us pushing back against the TPB/TPA to help make this happen. This was a terrible Act that took away many of our freedoms. This Act would have taken away our choices and punished and destroyed genuine health practitioners who were actually helping people heal. This is a big win for freedom and for all New Zealanders. See these articles on the Therapeutic Products Act by Gary Moller here and here.
3. Healthcare based on NEED not RACE
NZ First have put a stop to the divisive and controversial Maori Health Authority. See here. From their 1/3/24 email blast:
...all New Zealanders have the right to accessible, high-quality healthcare based on need, not race.
4. The Covid Inquiry
Without NZ First, we would have NO hope at all of getting a decent Covid 19 inquiry. Winston Peters and NZ First are determined to deliver on their promise.
On parliament steps on Thursday 29th February, 2024, Winston Peters and NZ First MP Tanya Unkovich accepted an open letter from concerned doctors. The letter documented their concerns, the increasing evidence of harm associated with the Covid 19 injections, and reasons why they must be stopped.
In his short speech, Winston said they will read it and make sure it is given to the rest of parliament. He added that in the last campaign he made a speech in Whangarei promising that NZ First is going to get rid of that inquiry that had deficient terms of reference. He said, “What I promised in Whangarei, we will deliver on.”
You can read the NZDSOS post on the topic and watch Winston deliver his uplifting speech here. And here is the live-streamed video of the entire event.
In this recent RCR interview, Paul Brennan interviews Winston Peters. Listen to what he has to say about the inquiry and those in charge (around the 12 minute mark).
Up until 24th March, we have an opportunity to tell the Covid 19 Commission of Inquiry how the Covid policies impacted on our lives and to let the government know what we'd like the inquiry to include. This is a significant step in the right direction. See here.
This opportunity would not have happened, if NZ First had failed to get into government. And it would not have happened if it were not for the united force of those in the freedom movement who pushed back against the dangerous official 'safe' and ‘effective' narrative and much more.
Success
All the above gains so far must be a relief to all in the freedom movement. It is also an illustration of what can be achieved
NZ First has only eight MPs and look at what they have achieved. Their getting the TPA thrown out is a huge gain. Now let’s get a solid inquiry into the Covid Response.
Listen to some suggestions as to how. Sarah Beesley is interviewed by Rodney Hide about the Covid Inquiry, how she has formed a NZ First Hub, and how effective such lobby groups can be.
Rodney gives a pessimistic introduction about the government not achieving much. WHAT! What does he expect in 100 days? What is Sarah’s take on Rodney’s views? Afterall, the freedom movement has had significant gains. You can listen to this interesting interview here.

The next FlagnFix article is on the Terms of Reference Submission Form and more. This is a step we can all take to inform NZ First and the government of our views.
