If censorship is the reason why, the more people that know the better. After all, the present Coalition Government meant to be committed to strengthening democracy and not throttling it.
They said: 'A response to an Official Information Act (“OIA”) has uncovered that the New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs has access to Facebook’s takedown portal. This is the same portal used by the US government to directly access and flag content on Facebook or Instagram and then request that it be throttled or suppressed.'

Facebook has a history of censoring those who speak out against the official narrative. Here's a Fox News article: https://www.foxnews.com/media/zuckerberg-says-establishment-asked-facebook-censor-covid-misinfo-ended-true-undermines-trust. At the height of the pandemic, they took down 18 million posts. I wonder how many lives could have been saved if they hadn't censored early treatments, doctors who were getting results, and vaccine injuries etc.
