1. The Quick & Easy Way to Have Your Say
FlagnFix touched on Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) in a previous post because of its close connection to Digital ID. CBDC and Digital ID go hand in hand. See here.
In that post, I mentioned the Reserve Bank of NZ is currently asking for feedback on CBDC (aka Digital Cash), which close on July 26th, 2024.
Looking beyond the Reserve Bank’s marketing rhetoric, RCR posted an article titled, Say No to Central Bank Digital Currency—while You Still Can…
The subtitle of the post:
The Reserve Bank Of New Zealand Is Seeking Feedback On Their Proposed New Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) dubbed “Digital Cash”. Don't Miss Your Chance To Reject It…
RCR's post includes a video walkthrough of the Submission process and why it is so important to participate.
The video walks you through the 13 survey questions. The survey only takes about 5 to 10 mintures.
The article is organised under the following headings:
What Is Central Bank Digital Currency?
Why Is It So Dangerous?
Everyone Will Be Affected By It.
2. Love the RCR Email Blast
Are you keen on Central Bank Digital Currency?
You know, that new programmable digital money that the Reserve Bank is trying to introduce to surveil and control your spending.
If not, you need to make your voice heard today while you still have a chance.
"How can I do that?" you ask...
Right now, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand is seeking feedback from the public on their new CBDC, dubbed “Digital Cash”.
But survey feedback closes THIS Friday, July 26th …
This means you need to act now to have an impact.
Make no mistake!
If allowed to gain a foothold, CBDCs will establish the means for the powerful elite to destroy personal freedom, privacy, and democracy so completely that it would make the Covid-19 restrictions feel like a Sunday drive.
This is why it’s vitally important to reject it en masse today before it can gain traction.
Click Here to find out more about what this “Digital Cash” is, why it’s so dangerous, and how to send the Reserve Bank a resounding “NO, thanks”.
If the Covid days taught us anything, it was that it’s better to try and put the fire out before it takes hold…
If not already on RCR’s emailing list, it’s worthwhile to sign up to keep up to date.
To help spread the word, why not share their CBDC telegram post? See here: https://t.me/rcr_nz/1762 and/or this article by the Noticer, an Australian news site, Fury over Reserve Bank of New Zealand push to introduce ‘digital cash’: ‘Undermines freedom, privacy and democracy’
2. Some Interesting RCR Interviews on CBDC
Michael Reddell and Jodie Bruning
Jodie Bruning is part of the Physicians and Scientists for Global Responsibility (PSGRNZ). Here is their paper on CBDCs.
Leighton Smith (Newstalk ZB) has also interviewed sociologist Jodie Bruning on the dangers of Digital IDs and CBDCs. You can listen to that interview here.
Sociologist Jodie Bruning has produced a paper, ‘Don’t Be Mislead - Judging the Risk From Central Bank Digital Currencies in Isolation is a Rookie Mistake’.
That paper is associated with a much bigger, ninety page production, regarding democratic risks that arise when Digital ID’s are coupled with CBDC's.
It’s an area where most of us are ill-informed, which if concerned about your personal sovereignty we should not be.
This is an important issue for all of us.
From Michael Reddell’s X page, an example of how the Ardern government abused public trust and worked against the people. Vaccine passports had nothing to do with stopping the spread of Covid as we were led to believe, but to inflict punishment on the unvaccinated!
In my mind, CBDC coupled with ID will lead to a strong “papers please” society which will make a mockery of our democracy.

Stage 1 – Issues paper and first consultation [2021]
Stage 2 - Design paper and second consultation [2022 to 2024]
Stage 3 and 4 – Will depend on the outcome of stage 2 and may include future consultations [2024 to 2030]
4. RCR on Digital ID
RCR also have a post on Digital ID titled:
Don't get caught out. Know the facts & stay informed on the latest developments
The article asks and answers pertinent questions about Digital IDs and links to a number of RCR interviews on the subject.
The Questions:
